Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Doc silently comms to the others,
< If Whitelock has these things in his blood stream, then he needs to be quarantined. He is quite literally leaking station-eating Harvesters as we speak >
Doc grabs the pilot's attention,
"Can this shuttle be operated remotely? When everyone is off the shuttle, you need to have it undock, and move itself away from the station. Given enough time, the contamination could work its way across the airlock coupling, and into the station. Also, do you have any EVA suits on board? We need some sort of sealed environment to store that drekbag," He points at Daniel.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max nods in agreement and turns to the security guard,
"That's a great idea. This man's blood is toxic. Do you have an EVA suit in which we can quarantine him?"

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The security guard that initially greeted the runners grabs the restraint.
"I'll take him to quarantine in the medical bay. We'll get our maintenance guys up here to take a look at the shuttle, but the primary refueling and oxygenation procedure has already started and cannot be interrupted. Why don't you follow the passengers to the visitor's area and I'll have the captain come and find you?"

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max insists with the guard,
"I'm afraid it isn't that simple. His blood is acidic and seems to be eating a hole in the hull of the shuttle. Also, like I said before, somebody on your security team is on his side, so relinquishing the prisoner to you isn't an option until we find out who his accomplice is. We'll be taking him with us to the visitor's area where we'll wait for your captain. Send a security guard with us if you need to, but turning him over to you endangers everybody on board."
Max begins walking.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
One of the passengers, filing through the exit, produces a ballpoint pen from his pocket and drives it into Daniel's jugular.
"For the Legion!"
The security guard closest leaps in and restrains the assailant.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
A large orc in an armored environment suit pushes his way past the security guards.
"What in the frag is going on...? Bloody hell... throw all of them in the brig. Now. We'll sort it out, later."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max's jaw goes slack as he can't believe what's just happened. The moment slows and all sound is distant. As reality catches up with him, Max reaches immediately into his pack and produces his medkit, desperately working to contain the blood flow.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Daniel shakes his head at Max, coughing and sputtering as the blood oozes out. He wheezes something into the elf's ear.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max lets go of Daniel, in whose eyes the lights are clearly going out. Trying to contain the bloodflow is a long skate up an icy hill. Responding to the ork, Max stands at attention. Taking a step back, the small elf insists to the ork,
"Not gonna' happen, slugger. You guys have stepped in drek here, and we appear to be the only ones who are willing to work to stop it."
Max's hands loosen and his muscles relax. This is going to get messy, and he's ready.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The security chief looks from the panicked and distressed passengers rushing by, to the quickly dying man on his station's floor, and finally at the group of motley shadowrunners.
"What exactly are we dealing with here? And why should I trust you--a bunch of planetside burn-outs who, from what I can see, scammed someone out of an orbital ticket?"

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max steps forward and insists,
"Ask any of the passengers on board! We saved the shuttle from being hijacked and proceeded to offer medical help to those in need! Look, this doesn't HAVE to get ugly."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The security chief points at one of his lackeys.
"You. Clean up this mess, take this carcass to med-bay. And you lot, you come with me. We'll go meet with the captain and you can tell him your story."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max follows quickly.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Tyros keeps well clear of the mess that was Whitelock, happy to see him slowly choke to death on his own blood, but disappointed he didn't get to do the job himself. Walking over to where the security guard restrained Whitelock's killer, Tyros once again tries to gather another piece of the puzzle. A quick gesture (centering) and Tyros unlocks the killer's mind (mind probe, f3, looking for why he killed Whitelock and what he meant by 'for the legion').
Tyros then follows Max and the guard out of the shuttle.

Doc follows the others, taking care not to track any blood into the station.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The security chief leads the team down a hectagonal corridor, towards the core of the space station.
"My team will attend to the passengers. If what you say is true, you saved the corporation a lot of nuyen in lawsuits. The captain will be quite pleased to meet you. Watch your step here, most folks aren't acquainted with the artificial gravity generated by centrifugal force."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Something isn't right, but the elf can't quite put his finger on it. His gaze wanders for a moment before he is struck with realization of an observation made passively; Max pipes up,
"Hey-- we passed a sign a little ways back that said the captain's office was a left at the last fork. Where are you taking us?"

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The security chief keeps walking.
"There was a problem with environmentals in his office. We're going to the crew quarters, where he is set up temporarily."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max continues to follow dubiously, his distrust worn transparently.
"What kind of problem?"

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Doc walks behind the security guard, and quietly picks the Fly-Spy out of his pocket. Glancing around to see if anyone's looking, he lets it slip from his fingers, and fly toward the hallway that they passed.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
"Honestly, you'd have to ask the engineers, I just..."
The security chief whirls on the team, a Viper Slivergun in his hand.
Rawhide's hand flies to the Ruger on his thigh. With all the panache of a cowboy, he quick-draws the massive revolver.
The dwarf's revolver is the first to fire and paints the wall behind the security chief red as it perforates his skull.
"Frag me..." mutters Rawhide.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Doc nods appreciatively at Rawhide.
"Nice fraggin' quickdraw there..."
Looking up and down the corridor to see if anyone is coming, Doc kneels down to search the guard.
"I sent a drone down the hallway toward the Captain's office, I'll let you know if it finds anything unusual."

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Tyros checks the cannister frequency to try and get a bearing on which direction it might lie.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The canister's frequency seems to be emanating from the science deck. The distant sound of shouting snaps Tyros back to the present.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max nods, the light mist of the security chief's blood reflecting a faint sheen under the glow of the overhead lights. If you squint your eyes thusly, it almost looks like the elf is covered in glitter.
"Alright, I guess there's no way to play this but our way anymore. We may as well just storm through this station and get what we're after before the whole thing plunges back to Earth. Whitelock said something about an escape hatch, so let's just get the canister and kill anything that resists us between here and home."
Perking up at the sound of the coming storm, Max readies his shotgun.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Tyros nods, grinning. "Our way is the way I like it best."
Tyros removes his claymore from its backsheath and hefting it in one hand, makes a small gesture with the other (centering) and vanishes (invisibility, f4).
"Let's move. I've got point." Tyros moves off down the passageway, hugging the wall, towards the canister's signal.

Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max, whose enhanced vision easily tracks the lumbering Troll's heat signature, follows closely behind Tyros with his shotgun up and ears listening intently.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
((invis blocks all visible spectrums, so Max can only follow his footsteps. Given the low gravity, even those should be damn hard to hear...))

"I'm telling you, it's just bad news."

Max strolls up,
"Howdy fellas! What'cha' talkin' about?"
"Howdy fellas! What'cha' talkin' about?"
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Tyros moves carefully into position within blade reach of the guards.
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The nearest guard, a Japanese elf with a scar across one side of his face, turns to Max.
"You shouldn't be here. The science deck is off-limits to civilians."
"You shouldn't be here. The science deck is off-limits to civilians."
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
Max tries to sound innocent enough,
"I'm looking for my friend. I'm sure he came through here."
"I'm looking for my friend. I'm sure he came through here."
Re: Run #6: Where No Chummer Has Gone Before
The guards exchange glances.
"We've been here for over an hour...no way anyone got through. Who is your friend?"
